Ying Liu has been selected to receive the annual Teh-Hsun Lee Award from U-M’s Rackham Graduate School. The award is presented annually to a Rackham student in memory of Dr. Teh-Hsun Lee. Dr. Lee was a proud alumnus with three degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, culminating with his PhD in 1954. Both he and his wife Mang-Shuen wanted to ensure that future students would have the same educational opportunities that they had experienced at Michigan. Dr. Lee passed away in 2011 at the age of 94 and left a bequest to Rackham to support international graduate students in engineering and the sciences. Congratulations Ying!
